💔 “A MOTHER AND HER THREE BABIES GONE IN ONE CRASH” — Hartselle Community Devastated After Tragic Accident Claims Ashley Dawn Hagood and Her Children

Hartselle, Alabama — Hearts are heavy across Morgan and Lawrence Counties after a devastating car crash claimed the lives of a devoted mother and three of her children.

Ashley Dawn Hagood, 33, was driving with her four children on April 11, 2026, when their Chevy Suburban was struck on the side by a Ford F-150 truck at the intersection of Highways 157 and 24 in Moulton, Alabama.

Bentley Owen Pledger, 10, survived the crash and has been receiving treatment at Children’s of Alabama / UAB Hospital.

The community quickly came together in grief. Prayer vigils were held, and flowers, candles, and messages of love filled the area as residents honored the family. Ashley was remembered as a “Wonder Woman” — a resilient, compassionate mother whose world revolved around her children. She worked as an executive assistant at Lektron, Inc., where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.

She is survived by her father Chris Hagood, brothers, sisters, and grandmother. Funeral services for Ashley, Bryleigh, and Brynleigh were held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at First United Methodist Church in Hartselle, with burial following at Hartselle Memory Gardens.

Authorities continue to investigate the exact cause of the crash.

This tragedy has left a profound void in the Hartselle community. Ashley and her children will be remembered for their bright spirits, loving hearts, and the joy they brought to everyone around them.
