🐶 UPDATE: Beagles from Ridglan Farms begin new lives in Wisconsin
Some of the beagles rescued from Ridglan Farms will now call Wisconsin home as they begin their journey from laboratory breeding environments into foster care and rehabilitation.
On Monday, the picked up an initial group of dogs, with foster families already waiting for them upon arrival. Volunteers and caregivers were ready to provide immediate comfort, safety, and stability after their transport.
The beagles are part of a larger group supported through efforts involving the, which helped facilitate the transfer of dogs from Ridglan Farms. More trips are planned, with the Wisconsin Humane Society expecting to receive around 130 dogs in total before the week is over.
The dogs will be distributed across WHS locations in Milwaukee and Green Bay, where foster families have already been arranged to help them adjust to home life.
For many of these beagles, this marks the beginning of a completely new chapter — one filled with care, patience, and the chance to finally experience life outside of confinement.
