Anti-ICE Agitator Accused of Biting Officers During Delaney Hall Protest Had Prior Child Porn Charges

A 26-year-old New Jersey man charged with assaulting federal officers by biting and kicking them during a violent anti-ICE protest at Delaney Hall was previously accused of distributing and possessing child pornography.
Brendan John Geier, of Madison, New Jersey, faces federal charges for assaulting and causing bodily injury to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers outside the Newark detention center last week. Prosecutors say he ignored lawful orders, kicked officers, and bit two of them — one on the forearm and another on the knuckle — during clashes on May 29.
Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche and Homeland Security officials described the bites as leaving “horrific wounds,” with both injured officers requiring hospital treatment.
The Justice Department confirmed to the New York Post that Geier was previously charged in Pennsylvania in 2019 with sexual abuse of children related to child pornography. The case stemmed from a tip received by Berks County detectives about images uploaded via Skype. Investigators linked the material to Geier’s IP address and found numerous suspected child pornography images on devices seized from his dorm room at Kutztown University.
Geier later pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of criminal use of a communication facility. He was sentenced to two years of probation, ordered to undergo sex offender evaluation and treatment, and prohibited from contact with anyone under 18.
Geier appeared in court on Friday and was released with conditions including location monitoring, a curfew, and a ban from returning to Delaney Hall.
The incident is part of broader unrest outside the facility, where protesters have clashed with federal officers over the past week. Authorities say they will continue to pursue charges against those involved in violence.
The case remains ongoing.
