UKRAINIAN DRONES SEVERELY DAMAGE SARATOV OIL REFINERY — PRIMARY CRUDE UNIT ELOU-AVT-6 DESTROYED

Ukrainian Drones Strike Saratov Oil Refinery in Southern Russia

Ukrainian long-range drones attacked the Saratov Oil Refinery in southern Russia overnight, causing significant damage to the facility.

According to preliminary reports, the strike heavily damaged the ELOU-AVT-6 primary crude oil processing unit — the main processing core of the refinery. Large fires broke out at the site, with thick smoke still rising from the facility into the morning hours.

The Saratov Refinery has an annual processing capacity of approximately 7 million tons of crude oil. It plays an important role in supplying fuel to Russian military units as well as civilian needs in several southern Russian regions.

Russian authorities stated that many of the incoming drones were intercepted by air defense systems. However, satellite imagery and local reports confirm visible damage to the refinery infrastructure.

This latest strike is part of Ukraine’s ongoing campaign targeting Russian energy facilities supporting the war effort. The extent of the damage and its impact on the refinery’s operations have not yet been officially confirmed by Russian officials.
