Three UK Inmates Sentenced to Life for Stabbing Child Killer Kyle Bevan 25 Times in Prison

United Kingdom – Three prisoners have been given life sentences for the brutal murder of Kyle Bevan, a convicted child killer, whom they stabbed 25 times inside his cell.

Mark Fellows, 45, David Taylor, 64, and Lee Newell, 57, carried out the attack on Bevan, 33, who was serving a life sentence for the 2020 murder of his partner’s two-year-old daughter.

The trio entered Bevan’s cell and attacked him for approximately five minutes. Afterward, they positioned his body in bed to make it appear as though he was sleeping. Bevan was not discovered until the following day.

During sentencing, Mrs Justice McGowan noted that the men specifically targeted Bevan because of his crime against a child. She stated that the attackers received congratulations upon returning to their landing, as word of the killing had spread.

All three men had prior murder convictions. Taylor received a new life sentence for Bevan’s murder, while Fellows and Newell, already serving life sentences, received additional separate life terms.

The judge highlighted that the men had blood on their shoes and attempted to dispose of evidence. The case has drawn significant public attention due to the nature of the victim and the vigilante-style attack within the prison system.

This incident has sparked renewed discussion about prison safety, inmate violence, and the challenges of housing high-risk offenders.

The three men remain in custody. Further details about the investigation and sentencing may be released in the coming days.
