A routine transport turned into a buzzing emergency in Orange County, Texas, when an 18-wheeler loaded with beehives overturned, releasing an estimated two million bees into the surrounding area. The accident happened on Sunday, June 21, after the truck reportedly failed to complete a turn while carrying about 50,000 pounds of hives.

Within moments, the roadway was filled with a massive swarm, forcing officials to warn nearby residents to stay indoors and avoid the area. Emergency crews closed parts of the neighborhood as trained beekeepers arrived to help recover the scattered hives and control the scene.

Despite the alarming sight, the truck driver escaped without injury. A local news photographer was reportedly stung while covering the incident, but no serious injuries were reported. Beekeepers later worked to transfer the remaining hives to a local honey farm, turning a dangerous situation into a coordinated rescue effort.
