MINNESOTA — The desperate family of Lance Corporal Armando Ortiz Canseco, a U.S. Marine who went missing from the USS Anchorage off the coast of Southern California, gathered for an emotional vigil on Sunday night as they continue searching for answers.

Photos from the vigil show loved ones honoring the Marine, including images of him in uniform and family members paying their respects with candles and flowers.

Canseco’s disappearance from the naval vessel has left his family and the Marine Corps community deeply concerned. Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding his vanishing while the ship was at sea.
