The memorial tribute for 17-year-old Louis Hervé in Narbonne, France, drew a crowd of around a thousand mourners. During the gathering, his mother delivered an emotional speech, declaring “this is a time for war” to demand justice before breaking down in tears, leaving the crowd completely silent. 

Louis tragically lost his life after being lured to an abandoned building site and savagely beaten by a group of youths. Five suspects, aged 16 to 20, have been charged with murder and placed in pre-trial detention. His parents have spoken out about the severity of the attack, with his father, Nicolas Hervé, revealing that Louis had previously reported earlier incidents of violence to authorities.
