Uzbek National Charged with Evidence Tampering in Fatal Crash That Killed UMass Lowell Soccer Goalkeeper

MASSACHUSETTS — Bekhzod Asrarov, a 42-year-old Uzbek national, faces a felony charge of tampering with evidence after allegedly hiding his dashcam following a crash that killed 21-year-old Tobias “Toby” Forsythe, a promising UMass Lowell soccer goalkeeper.
The incident occurred early Monday morning when Asrarov’s semi-truck rear-ended a vehicle, resulting in Forsythe’s death. Investigators say Asrarov attempted to conceal his dashcam in the aftermath of the fatal collision.
