Addis, La. — A heartbreaking case of domestic violence turned deadly has claimed the life of 7-year-old Paris Williams, who was found unresponsive after authorities say she was caught in the middle of a violent altercation between her mother and her mother’s boyfriend.

According to investigators, Paris was inside the family’s trailer home when a fight erupted between Breyonne Dorsey (also referred to as Brionne in some reports) and Christopher Butler. The scene showed signs of a struggle, including overturned furniture. Paris suffered multiple blunt force injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where she later died. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Arrests and Charges Dorsey faces charges including principal to second-degree murder, felony domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, and obstruction of justice. Authorities allege she initially provided a cover story and tampered with the scene.

Butler, who reportedly has a history of prior convictions, faces second-degree murder and related domestic violence charges. He surrendered to authorities after initially being sought.

Family Claims and Ongoing Investigation Relatives of Dorsey have publicly stated that she was also a victim of domestic abuse by Butler prior to the incident. The investigation continues as authorities work to determine the full circumstances. A candlelight vigil was held to honor Paris, with community members gathering to remember the young girl taken too soon.

Photos shared in remembrance show a memorial filled with stuffed animals, flowers, and messages of love for Paris, alongside images of her mother and Butler. Paris, described as a beloved child, should have been safe in her own home.
