New Forensic Findings Leave Critical Questions Unanswered in Nolan Wells Investigation

New testimony has revealed that significant questions remain surrounding the death of Nolan Wells, with a forensic pathologist stating that the available evidence is insufficient to determine exactly how he died.

According to the pathologist, damage to Nolan’s throat cannot be ruled out as a possible cause of, or contributing factor to, his death because the throat structures had already been removed during the initial autopsy, preventing a complete re-examination.

The pathologist also noted red discoloration on the back of Nolan’s head. However, based on the available evidence, no definitive conclusion could be reached about its significance.

Several key questions remain unresolved, including what circumstances led to Nolan entering the water and whether he drowned. The pathologist explained that determining whether water was present in the airways—a finding that can be relevant when evaluating possible drowning—was not possible during the later examination because of the condition of the remains and limitations created by the initial autopsy.

The expert further testified that by the time the body was received for examination on the 10th, it had undergone significant decomposition, making it even more difficult to establish a definitive cause of death.

As a result, Nolan Wells’ manner and cause of death remain classified as undetermined while the investigation continues. Authorities have not announced any final conclusions, and investigators are expected to continue reviewing the available forensic evidence before determining what happened.
