Today show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie has released a new emotional video message pleading with the person or people who abducted her mother, Nancy Guthrie, to “do the right thing.”

In the Instagram video posted on July 27, 2026, Savannah said: “I’m coming to today with a very specific message. It has been months since our mom was taken from us. Our family is in agony. We are in a nightmare that will not end — nothing about our situation has changed.”

She directly addressed the kidnappers, saying she is “asking you, begging you to do the right thing now. Make the right choice. Help us find her, tell us where to look for her.”

Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen on January 31, 2026, after being dropped off at her home in the Catalina Foothills area near Tucson, Arizona. She failed to appear for a virtual church service the next morning, prompting concern. Evidence at the scene included signs of a struggle, blood, and doorbell camera footage showing a masked individual.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI have been investigating the case as a kidnapping. Early in the investigation, ransom notes were received, including one that claimed Nancy had died. Authorities have not confirmed her status, and the family has continued to seek information about her whereabouts. A reward has been offered for information leading to her recovery.

Nancy requires daily heart medication and has limited mobility, factors the family has repeatedly highlighted in their public appeals. Nearly six months after her disappearance, no arrests have been announced and her location remains unknown.

The Guthrie family has urged anyone with information to contact authorities.
