Brave Little Warrior Rings the Bell After 13 Rounds of Chemotherapy
They call him their “Brave Little Warrior.”
At just 2½ years old, Liam Box of Senoia, Georgia, has already faced more than most adults ever will.
And now, he has reached a moment his family has dreamed about for a long time:
Liam rang the bell after completing his chemotherapy treatments. 
Liam has been battling neuroblastoma, a type of cancer that developed near his adrenal glands. His doctors at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta have been treating him in hopes of shrinking a large tumor in his abdomen.
His mom, Jordan, recently shared an emotional update about her son’s journey.
After 13 rounds of chemotherapy, countless hospital stays, time in the PICU, procedures, scans, surgeries, medication complications, and serious blood-pressure problems, Jordan says Liam currently has no evidence of active cancer.
However, his journey isn’t completely over.
According to his mother, Liam still has a tumor in his abdomen that doctors will continue monitoring through scans and follow-up care.
He is also continuing to experience complicated blood-pressure issues and other health challenges following treatment. His family is working closely with his oncology and nephrology teams to understand what is causing these problems and how to help him feel better.
But today, they’re choosing to celebrate.
Jordan says Liam continues to smile, laugh, play, and show incredible resilience despite everything he has experienced.
“Cancer free.
Still fighting.
Still healing.
Still our little warrior.”
The bell ringing wasn’t necessarily the end of Liam’s journey.
It was the beginning of a new chapter — one focused on healing, monitoring, recovery, and hopefully letting this little boy simply enjoy being a kid again.
