A horrific act of violence has claimed the life of a teenager after he was lured to a secluded building site. The victim endured a brutal beating that left him in a coma, later succumbing to his injuries in the hospital. Seventeen-year-old Louis lost his life after a terrible attack in Narbonne, France, during the night of June 19–20, 2026. According to investigators, he was lured to a construction site, where five young men, aged 17 to 19, allegedly beat him to demise. Authorities also say the attack was filmed and later shared on social media, making the case even more shocking.
Police arrested the five suspects, identified as Jordan S., Lucas P., Mathias T., Isaac P., and Kilian T. They have all been charged with murd€r and placed in pre-trial detention while the investigation continues.
Days later, on July 1, one person’s emotional reaction drew national attention. Laëtitia, the 33-year-old mother of one of the suspects, Mathias T., spoke publicly in an interview with BFMTV. Instead of defending her son, she strongly condemned the alleged crime.
Through tears, she said, “This is no longer my son. I banish him completely. I do not condone this kind of behavior.” Her words reflected the pain and disbelief she felt after learning what her son was accused of doing.
She also shared the emotional burden she is carrying. “I remain the mother of a murd€r€r. I’m not doing well. I have nightmares every night.” Her heartbreaking statement showed that the tragedy has affected not only the victim’s loved ones but also the families of those accused.
