Meet Brave 8-Year-Old Layla
At just eight years old, Layla is facing a battle no child should ever have to fight. She is living with neuroblastoma and is preparing for a long stay in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — far from the comfort of home, the familiar faces she loves, and the everyday moments most kids her age take for granted.
Even in the middle of hospital rooms and hard days, Layla still lights up over the things that make her heart happy. Her favorite color is bright, bold red. She adores Stitch. She loves the sweet taste of strawberries, getting lost in arts and crafts, cheering with all her might, and playing Roblox. These little joys are what help her keep going when the days feel long and heavy.
Right now, her family is asking for something simple but powerful: HOPE MAIL.

They are hoping people near and far will send Layla cards, drawings, and short messages of love — tiny pieces of encouragement that can remind her she is not alone. That there are people all over who are cheering for her, believing in her, and holding her in their hearts.
If you would like to send a little light into Layla’s day, you can mail a card to:

It doesn’t have to be fancy. A simple handwritten note, a colorful drawing, a message that says “You’re so brave” or “We’re rooting for you” can mean more than you know. In a season filled with needles, scans, and uncertainty, these small acts of kindness can bring real smiles and real comfort.
Let’s fill Layla’s mailbox with hope. Let’s surround this sweet girl with reminders that she is seen, loved, and fought for.
She is only eight… and she is already one of the bravest people many of us will ever know.
