After 220 Days in the Hospital, Hailee Is Finally Home!
220 days.
That’s how long 6-year-old Hailee spent in the hospital before her family finally got the moment they had been praying for.
On Wednesday, her mom, Rachel, brought her little girl home.
If Hailee’s name sounds familiar, many of you may remember praying for her back in December when she was fighting for her life.
Now Rachel has shared the update everyone was hoping to hear:
“My Hailee went home.”
Hailee’s journey has been incredibly difficult.

Multiple seizures led to a serious pulmonary hypertension crisis. She was intubated for four months and eventually transferred hundreds of miles from Johnson City, Tennessee, to Charlottesville, Virginia, for specialized care.
Doctors and her family faced difficult questions about whether she would need a tracheostomy or another feeding tube.
But Hailee kept fighting.
And somehow, she came home without either one.
Her mom says Hailee left the hospital with some additional medications and a little extra oxygen—but most importantly, she was going home.
This wasn’t Hailee’s first major battle.
She was born extremely premature and spent 145 days in the NICU. Later, she faced seizures, aspiration, pulmonary hypertension, pneumonia, and other serious complications.
She spent Thanksgiving, her 6th birthday, and Christmas in the hospital.
Back in December, her mom asked thousands of people to pray.
Today, she has a very different message:
“I prayed to God to heal her, he did.”
And then came the words of a mother who watched her daughter fight for 220 days:
“My Hailee is a rockstar.”
Welcome home, Hailee.
You fought an incredible fight, and so many people were cheering and praying for you along the way.
To everyone who prayed for Hailee back in December—this is the little girl you were praying for.
