After losing her baby boy, Crystal never imagined she would find the courage to hope again.
Then she learned she was expecting a baby girl. She named her **Remington Grace**.
Crystal, who lives near Houston, is sharing her family’s heartbreaking journey in the hope that people will keep her little girl in their prayers.
In October 2024, Crystal lost her son at just 26 weeks after a severe infection turned into sepsis.
When she became pregnant again, every day was filled with fear. Only one month into the pregnancy, she began passing large blood clots and feared she was losing her baby. Doctors found multiple hemorrhages and placed her on strict bed rest.
At 20 weeks, Crystal developed the same dangerous infection that had taken her son’s life. This time, she pushed for immediate treatment and received antibiotics as soon as symptoms appeared. Thankfully, she recovered.
But the challenges continued.

At 26 weeks, her water suddenly broke, and she was rushed into an emergency C-section. Remington Grace was born weighing just **2 pounds, 1 ounce**.
Since birth, this tiny fighter has faced one challenge after another. She has battled pneumonia five times, needed a breathing tube at only two weeks old, and became critically ill after a heart procedure.
Her family says doctors placed her on ECMO, a life-support machine that ultimately saved her life. They were told she likely would not have survived the night without it.
Today, Remington remains in the NICU, continuing to fight with incredible strength.
Just days ago, doctors discovered one of her ribs was broken. Crystal says they don’t know exactly how it happened, but they believe it may be connected to everything her tiny body has already endured.
After everything this family has been through, they haven’t given up hope.
