What initially emerged as a child-endangerment case involving four family members has now expanded as investigators examine additional allegations and possible abuse connected to the wider family.

When authorities executed a search warrant at the home in June 2026, they discovered 16 children ranging in age from about 18 months to 18 years living in what officials described as extremely deplorable conditions. Investigators said many of the children had been confined primarily to a small room for years, surrounded by human waste and serious sanitation problems. Several required medical treatment, with some hospitalized.

The latest development goes beyond the original child-endangerment allegations. Gary Siders Jr. and Elizabeth Siders, the parents of the 16 children, are now facing additional allegations involving sexual conduct with a minor. Authorities say those allegations concern a minor who was not one of the 16 children rescued from the home.

At the same time, the investigation has widened to other adults connected to the family. Recent reporting says Josh Saunders and Brandon Henderson Sr. have also been indicted in separate cases involving alleged sexual abuse of minors. Investigators are examining the relationships between the suspects as they continue piecing together the broader circumstances surrounding the case.

The original four defendants — Gary Siders Jr., Elizabeth Siders, Gary Siders Sr. and Christina Siders — were charged with child endangerment after the children were discovered. Authorities have emphasized that this is an intrafamily case, and investigators have said there was no evidence that the 16 children were victims of a human-trafficking operation.

The legal process is still developing. All four original defendants have faced child-endangerment charges, while additional allegations and indictments are now being pursued. Elizabeth Siders’ defense has also raised questions about her competency, adding another layer to the ongoing proceedings.
