Washington, D.C. — Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier, the former U.S. Space Force commander and F-15 fighter pilot who was fired by the Biden administration in 2021 after publicly exposing DEI and Marxist ideology in the military, has been officially confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the 29th Under Secretary of the Air Force.

Lohmeier’s confirmation marks a significant victory for those advocating to restore merit-based standards and eliminate political indoctrination within the U.S. armed forces. His appointment is seen by many as a direct rebuke to the previous administration’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies that he courageously challenged.

A highly decorated officer with extensive combat and command experience, Lohmeier rose to national prominence after releasing his bestselling book Irresistible Revolution: Marxism’s Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military. In it, he detailed how critical race theory and Marxist principles were being pushed through military training programs, undermining unit cohesion and readiness.

His public stance led to his abrupt removal from command of the 11th Space Warning Squadron in 2021. The move drew widespread criticism from conservatives and military reform advocates who viewed it as retaliation for speaking out against “woke” policies.

Following his confirmation, Lohmeier is expected to play a key role in reshaping Air Force policy, with a focus on restoring combat effectiveness, prioritizing merit over identity politics, and strengthening national defense.
