Alicia Andrews Sentenced to Maximum 15 Years in Prison as Julio Foolio Murder Saga Officially Closes

Jacksonville, FL — The final chapter in the high-profile murder case of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio has concluded, with Alicia Andrews receiving the maximum sentence of 15 years in Florida state prison.
Andrews, the last remaining member of the group dubbed the “Foolio 5,” was sentenced Thursday following her conviction for manslaughter in the June 2024 ambush killing of the rapper, whose real name was Charles Jones.
During the penalty phase, Andrews’ defense argued she was a minor participant who did not fire a weapon and requested time served plus probation. However, prosecutors strongly opposed the leniency, presenting evidence that Andrews played a key role in coordinating the attack. They alleged she helped track Foolio’s location from an Airbnb and communicated with the shooters in real time.
Circuit Judge denied the defense’s request and imposed the maximum allowable sentence. Under Florida law, Andrews must serve at least 85% of her 15-year term before becoming eligible for release.
The main shooters in the case had previously been sentenced to life in prison without parole. With Andrews’ sentencing, the legal proceedings against all members of the group have now officially concluded.
The case drew intense national attention due to its connection to ongoing rap beefs and the brazen nature of the shooting, which was captured on surveillance video showing a gunman approaching Foolio’s vehicle in a parking lot.
