Horror in Fresno: Second Body Found in Creepy Canal, ‘Not Random’

FRESNO, Calif. — A second decomposed body was pulled from a canal in southwest Fresno on Tuesday, deepening the mystery surrounding a disturbing homicide case that has gripped the city.

The remains were discovered caught against a concrete barrier in the waterway near Glenn and Webster avenues. Authorities said the body appeared to have been in the water for an extended period.

The canal is part of the same irrigation system where 50-year-old Georgiana McGhee’s body was found on May 10 near Neilson and Hughes avenues, about 4.5 miles away. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Police have arrested 48-year-old Boshay Ware in connection with McGhee’s killing. Fresno Police Chief Mindy Casto said the violence stemmed from a dispute among associates. “These people all knew each other. It wasn’t random,” she stated.

The identity of the latest victim has not been released, and investigators are working to determine if the cases are connected.
