Oakdale Couple Charged with Sexually Abusing 14-Year-Old Girl Found Hiding in Cardboard Box in Their Bedroom

OAKDALE, Minn. — A married couple from Oakdale has been charged with multiple sex crimes after police discovered a missing 14-year-old girl hiding inside a cardboard box under a pile of clothes in their bedroom, according to court documents.

Andrew Olson, 48 (or 49), and Angeline Olson, 46 (or 47), each face charges including soliciting a child to engage in sexual conduct. Angeline Olson is additionally charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, while Andrew Olson faces three counts of possessing child sexual abuse material.

The girl, a friend of one of the couple’s children, was reported missing by her father after she ran away from school on May 26, 2026. Maplewood police were initially called and later obtained information linking her to the Olsons’ residence.

When officers arrived at the home, Angeline Olson reportedly denied the girl was there. A search of the cluttered apartment revealed the teenager concealed in a cardboard box in the couple’s bedroom.

The discovery came after a neighbor reportedly saw the girl running from the home earlier. Police also found evidence, including videos and photos on a cellphone, supporting the sexual abuse allegations.

Both Andrew and Angeline Olson remain in custody at the Washington County Jail. The case is being prosecuted by the Washington County Attorney’s Office.

The girl was safely recovered and is receiving support services. Authorities have not released her name due to her age and the nature of the crimes.

This disturbing case has shocked the local community and highlights ongoing concerns about child safety and exploitation. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are possible.
