Washington Father Jacob Bevins Arrested for Allegedly Killing 4-Year-Old Son Aiden and Burying Body Under House

Aberdeen, Washington — A 36-year-old father has been arrested after authorities say he killed his 4-year-old son and hid the child’s remains under their home for nearly a year.

Jacob Bevins was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, unlawful disposal of remains, and making a false statement to police.

The case came to light in May when police responded to a report of Bevins’ 6-year-old daughter being missing. While the girl was found safe with her mother, officers noticed that 4-year-old Aiden Bevins was unaccounted for. Bevins initially claimed the boy was staying with relatives in another state, but family members denied this.

During questioning, Bevins admitted to striking Aiden on the head, causing his death. He later changed his story, claiming the boy fell and hit his head while running to the bathroom. Investigators determined the injuries were the result of blunt force trauma inconsistent with his account.

Aiden’s remains were discovered on May 15 inside a garbage bag buried underneath the family home. Neighbors reported seeing dirt in the area between the house and a tree, raising suspicions.

Both children had previously been in the foster care system before being returned to their biological parents. Former foster parents expressed ongoing concerns about the children’s safety and said they had contacted Child Protective Services multiple times.

Bevins faces serious charges as the community processes the tragedy. The case remains under investigation.

This heartbreaking story has drawn widespread attention as details continue to emerge.
