Ukraine Strikes Major Russian Oil Terminal Near St. Petersburg

In a significant escalation, Ukrainian drones have targeted the JSC Petersburg Oil Terminal — one of the largest oil-handling facilities in Northwest Russia.

The strike occurred just as the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) was underway, an event often compared to Russia’s version of Davos, attended by international delegates from over 130 countries. Thick plumes of smoke were reportedly visible from the area, approximately 17 km from the convention center.

Local authorities also reported flight disruptions at Pulkovo Airport. Another Ukrainian drone strike was claimed on a missile component plant in Michurinsk.
This action comes amid ongoing intense exchanges, following recent large-scale Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities earlier this month.
