At the heart of Russia’s hidden assets was the Boiky corvette, a modern Project 20380 Steregushchiy-class warship undergoing repairs in a dry dock. This wasn’t just any vessel; the Boiky played a crucial role as a military escort for Russia’s clandestine “shadow fleet” of oil tankers. These tankers are instrumental in helping Russia circumvent international sanctions and engage in hybrid warfare, including potential sabotage of undersea infrastructure.
