Missing 3-Year-Old Kehlani Rogers Found Safe After Amber Alert in Arizona

Avondale, Arizona — A community breathed a sigh of relief after 3-year-old Kehlani Rogers, who vanished from her Arizona home, was found safe and in good health following a swift Amber Alert operation.

Authorities say the toddler disappeared from her residence near 118th Avenue and Edgemont Avenue (or Thomas Road area) in Avondale after midnight on February 20, 2026. Surveillance footage later captured her with a 23-year-old woman identified as Marina (or Mariana/Marena) Noriega, who has been taken into custody and faces charges related to the incident.

The case sparked widespread concern, with emotional appeals noting that “her toys are still there… but Kehlani is gone,” highlighting the terror felt by family and neighbors. An Amber Alert was quickly issued, describing the child and the suspect.

Thanks to vigilant members of the public, including a security guard at a Phoenix-area QuikTrip who recognized the pair from the alert, Kehlani was located safe on Sunday morning near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road. The alert was promptly canceled.

Noriega was arrested in connection with the alleged abduction. Details on the exact circumstances and any relationship to the family remain under investigation, though police noted the child’s life was believed to be in danger at the time of the alert.

Kehlani was reunited with her family after being taken to authorities. The rapid resolution has been credited to quick community response and law enforcement coordination involving Avondale Police, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, and other agencies.

This incident serves as a reminder of the effectiveness of Amber Alerts in protecting children. Authorities continue to investigate the full details surrounding the disappearance.
