Urgent Search Underway for 5 Missing People from Butte, Montana

Authorities and volunteers are searching for five missing individuals from Butte, Montana, who have not been heard from since Tuesday evening.

The group left around 6:30 p.m. to go fishing north of Butte and has not made contact since. The missing are:

  • Paul Klimpel, 40
  • Landon Klimpel, 16
  • Parker Klimpel, 14
  • Pace Klimpel, 12
  • Knox Klimpel, 10

They were traveling in a 2001 white Ford Ranger with a black flatbed. Montana license plate: EGS-848.

Search efforts are focused on the Browns Gulch, American Gulch, Flame Gulch areas, and near Bernice.

Three members of the group have Type 1 diabetes, and all their phones appear to be turned off, raising serious concerns for their well-being.
