A highway investigation has intensified after a P-plate driver reportedly lost control in a devastating morning crash, with authorities examining road conditions, speed, and possible contributing factors as they work to determine the exact sequence of events leading up to the collision.

A crash on the Platt Bridge caused major traffic delays for commuters on Monday morning.

The Philadelphia Fire Department was called to the accident on Penrose Avenue northbound, coming away from the airport into South Philadelphia.

When crews arrived, they saw a two-car crash, with one person entrapped.
