Richmond, Virginia — The Richmond community is mourning the death of 17-year-old entrepreneur Aubrie “Breezy” Greene, founder of Breezzy’s Lemonade, who passed away after being shot while driving through a residential neighborhood. Greene, celebrated as the “King of Lemonade,” built a local brand from a childhood idea into a recognized business with a mobile trailer, multiple flavors, and merchandise.

The incident occurred on July 5 when gunfire erupted as Greene was driving. His vehicle crashed into a shed shortly afterward. Officers found him suffering from a gunshot wound, and he succumbed to his injuries days later. No arrests have been made, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Just weeks before the shooting, Greene had proudly celebrated his high school graduation. His mother, Ceydria McCray, shared the devastating news on the company’s Instagram, writing: “We never imagined Breezy not being here with us… Breezy we miss you so much and there’s many questions as of why.”

Greene started his lemonade venture at age 11 and grew it into a local success story through hard work and determination. Photos show him in graduation attire and with his family at their colorful lemonade truck, highlighting the bright future that was stolen from him.

This tragedy has left family, friends, and the broader Richmond community in shock, calling for justice and answers. Greene’s legacy as a young CEO and inspiration to many will live on through the brand he built with passion.
