DEL RIO, Texas — The 32-year-old Del Rio woman who police say was stabbed to death by three other women has been identified.
Del Rio police identified the victim as Carolina Pena on Tuesday. 21-year-old Kitty Mia Diaz, 19-year-old Amaya Cookie Diaz, and 21-year-old Kyandra Renee Faz were arrested for her murder.On Thursday, police responded to Val Verde Regional Medical Center after receiving a report of a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Investigators later determined the assault occurred in the 800 block of East 10th Street. Police say video showed Pena arriving to Faz’s house shortly after the two Diaz sisters were seen arriving. One of the women was later seen approaching Pena with a knife.
Pena was rushed to a San Antonio hospital for treatment where she later died from her injuries.
New video shows the two sisters arrested outside a Del Rio home. All three women are each being held on a $5 million bond.
