Hope Remains as Search Continues for Missing 11-Year-Old Parker Wells

One week after 11-year-old Parker Wells disappeared in Calgary, Canada, police and search teams remain determined to bring him home safely.

Parker, who is non-verbal and autistic, was last seen at his day home in the Cambrian Heights area around 11:30 a.m. on July 16. Investigators have been working to piece together his movements using available CCTV footage and information from the public.

Police have stated that there is currently no evidence of foul play, and they continue to believe there is hope that Parker may still be found alive.

Authorities are asking residents in the area to carefully check vacant homes, garages, sheds, and properties where owners may be away. Investigators say Parker has previously entered buildings and may know how to find basic needs such as food and water if he has found shelter.

Staff Sgt. Scott Guterson said search efforts continue across land, air, and water, with police and volunteers refusing to give up.

“We still continue to search. We still continue to use ground units to search. We continue to search by air. We continue to search the water. We are doing everything we can to find Parker and bring him home,” he said.

Authorities continue to believe there is a strong possibility Parker is alive and emphasize that every reasonable effort is being made to locate him.
