Please Keep 14-Year-Old Jayden in Your Prayers
It’s a difficult Monday for 14-year-old Jayden Sherwin of Robertsdale, Alabama.
Jayden and his family are waiting to learn whether he may need another brain surgery.
Just a few months ago, Jayden was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a fast-growing cancerous tumor of the central nervous system that can affect balance and coordination in children.
Doctors in Mobile removed his tumor, and Jayden has since undergone chemotherapy in Mobile and Atlanta.
His family says the cancer has continued to take a serious toll on him. Jayden has experienced changes in his speech, hearing, mobility, and sense of taste. He has lost hearing on his left side and has also experienced significant hair loss during treatment.
Despite everything, his family says he continues to eat without a feeding tube and keeps fighting through his treatment.
Jayden is currently undergoing chemotherapy on a three-weeks-on, three-weeks-off schedule.
Now his family is waiting for the results of his latest scan.
If the doctors determine that the cancer has progressed, another surgery may be necessary.
His aunt, NaTasha Sherwin, has one simple request:
“Please ask all of your followers to pray for Jayden. And ask them to pray extra hard.”
