Since Memorial Day, when a tragic pool accident left her critically injured, countless people followed her family’s journey with hope and prayer. Her parents never stopped fighting for their little girl, celebrating every small sign of progress and pursuing every possible opportunity for her care.
According to Annelise’s grandfather, she passed away peacefully after being extubated earlier this week, surrounded by the love of her family.
Throughout this difficult journey, Johnston and Joy remained devoted to their daughter, never losing hope and never stopping their efforts to give her every possible chance.
Annelise’s family has expressed deep gratitude for the prayers, kindness, and support they have received from people around the world. They continue to ask for prayers as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
