Baton Rouge investigators say 40-year-old Eric Washington repeatedly pnched the 11-year-old with closed fists while the boy’s mother, 35-year-old Shantia Thomas, allegedly encouraged the att*ck.
Police say it started after the child got into a fight with another kid. Thomas allegedly punished him by whpping his hands with a belt and htting him.
But authorities say it got MUCH worse after she picked Washington up from work.
The little boy allegedly tried to RUN AWAY.
Washington reportedly chased him down.
Investigators say Thomas yelled for Washington to “bat his a”** and allegedly grabbed her own child and pulled him BACK toward the att*ck.
Police say Washington then struck the boy in the eye with an uppercut.
And this part is heartbreaking…
The 11-year-old BEGGED his mother to call his father.
She allegedly refused.
Realizing the adults around him weren’t going to protect him, the child tried to defend himself.
Then he was knocked UNCONSCIOUS.
According to investigators, when that baby finally opened his eyes…
THE BATING WAS STILL HAPPENING.
Washington and Thomas were arrested and charged with second-degree cruelty to juveniles.
