She lost an eye. She went completely blind for a period of her life. She needed a hip replacement at 19 and endured transplant after transplant trying to preserve the vision she had left.
And somehow, Suzi Palacios still became a National Merit Scholar, graduated college at just 19 and made it to law school, where she now ranks 8th in her class.
Then she fought Stage 3 breast cancer.
On August 8th, Suzi rang the bell and entered remission.
Her family thought she had beaten it.
Just weeks later, doctors found a tumor in her brain.
Now this remarkable South Texas woman is being asked to fight all over again.

Patricia reached out to me from Edinburg hoping we can surround Suzi with prayers, because cancer is only the latest battle in a life spent overcoming things that could have stopped her long ago.
Suzi was born with Rieger’s syndrome and congenital glaucoma, leaving her legally blind and requiring surgeries since childhood.
In eighth grade, she lost one of her eyes.
At 17, the retina in her remaining eye detached, leaving her completely blind for a significant period of time.
She has endured cornea transplants and experimental surgeries trying to preserve the vision she has left.
But Suzi kept going.
She graduated from Robert Vela High School in Edinburg as a National Merit Scholar.
She graduated from the University of Connecticut at just 19.
Her accomplishments were even formally recognized by the Texas House of Representatives.
Then she chased another dream.
Becoming an attorney.
Suzi entered law school in Denver in 2024. Today, she has a 3.8 GPA and ranks 8th in her class.
And she continued pursuing that dream while fighting cancer.
In 2025, Suzi was diagnosed with Stage 3 triple-negative breast cancer.
She underwent chemotherapy and radiation while continuing law school.
Then came August 8th.
She rang that bell.
Imagine what that moment must have meant after everything she had already survived.
But only weeks later, Suzi began experiencing severe headaches, exhaustion and stroke-like symptoms.
Early Sunday morning, doctors discovered a tumor in her brain.
Her family says Suzi is now facing cancer again.
That sentence is difficult to comprehend after everything this young woman has already endured.

Pray for strength when she’s exhausted from having to be strong.
