Police Confirm Noah Woods’ Identity After Body Recovered During Search in Suffolk

Suffolk Constabulary has confirmed that the body recovered from Decoy Pond in Brantham has been formally identified as three-year-old Noah Woods.

Noah was reported missing on Tuesday, September 15, after becoming separated from a relative near a playground on Merriam Close.

A major search operation followed, involving specialist police teams, emergency services, dive teams, aircraft, search dogs and around 1,300 members of the public.

On Wednesday, September 16, Metropolitan Police divers recovered the body of a child from Decoy Pond.

Police initially described the discovery as not suspicious but unexplained while formal identification was completed.

Suffolk Constabulary has now confirmed Noah’s identity, subject to confirmation through formal inquest proceedings.

Police said his death is not currently being treated as suspicious.

Investigators still have enquiries to complete before submitting a file to the Coroner.
