The Truth Social post arrived this morning with the magnate’s usual bluntness. Trump accused Iran of having opened fire on a French vessel and a British freighter in the Strait of Hormuz, calling it a “total violation” of the current ceasefire.

In the same message he announced that his representatives are traveling to Islamabad, Pakistan, for a new round of negotiations beginning tomorrow evening. Special envoy Steve Witkoff and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner lead the US delegation.

The threat was direct: “The United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran. No more Mr. Nice Guy”, he wrote. And he ended with a phrase he has used in previous weeks: “It’s time for the Iran killing machine to end”.

International law experts have repeatedly warned that attacking civilian infrastructure such as power plants, bridges, and water treatment facilities could constitute a war crime. Without electricity, water, or evacuation routes, an entire population would be placed at extreme risk.
