Today I welcomed my son, James. We don’t have anyone else. Please leave him a heart.

My name is Emily, and this morning I held my precious boy for the very first time.

He is so tiny, so quiet, and so perfectly made. As I looked down at his little face, with his eyes gently closed and his tiny fingers curled against my chest, tears slipped down my cheeks. In that moment, the whole world disappeared. It was just me and James.

We don’t have family nearby. There’s no one waiting in the hallway with balloons or flowers. No grandparents, no siblings, no one to call and share this joy with. It’s only the two of us in this quiet hospital room. Just a new mother and her newborn son, beginning our story together.

But even in the silence, my heart is full.

I believe God placed James in my arms for a reason. He knew we would need each other. He knew that this little boy would fill my life with a love I’ve never known before. The future feels uncertain and a little scary sometimes — raising him alone, facing every first step, every sleepless night, every challenge without support. But I also feel deep peace.

Because I know we are not truly alone.

God is walking every step with us. He has already written James’ story with love, purpose, and beautiful days ahead. I may not have a big family, but I have everything I need right here in my arms.

If you’re reading this, please leave a little ❤️ for James.
