Dhaka, Bangladesh — A rare albino buffalo with a striking blond tuft of hair — dubbed “Donald Trump” for its uncanny resemblance to the former U.S. president — has been granted a last-minute reprieve from ritual sacrifice during Eid al-Adha.

The buffalo, known for its light-colored hide and distinctive hairstyle-like mane, was already sold for slaughter when videos of the animal went viral across Bangladesh and beyond. The striking similarity to Donald Trump quickly turned the buffalo into a national sensation.

Authorities stepped in to halt the sacrifice, with the government issuing what has been described as a special “pardon.” Instead of facing ritual slaughter, the animal will now be relocated to the national zoo in Dhaka, where it is expected to become a popular attraction.

The story has captured widespread attention both in Bangladesh and internationally, with many amused by the idea that looking like Donald Trump literally saved the buffalo’s life.
