Naked Man Accused of Breaking Car Windows Taken Into Custody After Standoff in Anaheim

Anaheim, California — A naked man who authorities say is a documented gang member was taken into custody Sunday after a standoff with police in Anaheim.

The suspect, who was wanted for vandalism after allegedly smashing car windows, fled from officers and barricaded himself inside an apartment complex. Police responded by calling in the SWAT team to safely extract him.

Dramatic aerial footage showed heavily armed officers in tactical gear surrounding the area as they took the man into custody. In a close-up image, the suspect — wrapped in a yellow blanket — was seen being escorted by SWAT officers.

Authorities said the man is a documented gang member and was wanted in connection with multiple reports of vehicle vandalism in the area. No injuries were reported during the standoff.

The suspect was transported from the scene for booking. Charges against him are expected to include vandalism and resisting arrest.

This is a developing story.
