Turkey Just Did The UNTHINKABLE… Russia’s Southern Flank COLLAPSED

The geopolitical landscape in the Black Sea and Middle East is undergoing a dramatic transformation, with Turkey at the center of a strategic pivot that is significantly impacting Russia’s long-standing influence. For nearly a decade, Turkey and Russia maintained a pragmatic partnership, but this arrangement is now unraveling as Ankara increasingly aligns itself with Ukraine and NATO.
This shift is not merely a diplomatic repositioning; it represents a fundamental challenge to the established power balances in the region. Turkey has emerged as a critical supporter of Ukraine’s defense and economic survival, providing substantial military aid including Bayraktar TB2 drones, Kirpi armored vehicles, laser-guided munitions, and electronic warfare systems. Furthermore, a Turkish company, Baykar, is even establishing a drone production facility on Ukrainian soil, underscoring the depth of this commitment.

Crucially, at the outset of the conflict, Ankara invoked the Montreux Convention to restrict Russian warship transit through the Bosphorus and Dardanelles straits. This decisive action effectively isolated Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, preventing reinforcements from entering the Black Sea and damaged ships from returning for repairs. Beyond military and maritime support, Turkey also played a pivotal role in mediating the Black Sea Grain Deal, which was vital for Ukraine’s economy.
