Georgia Man Accused of Shooting Pregnant Ex-Girlfriend and Unborn Son Through Bedroom Window

GEORGIA — A Georgia man is facing multiple murder charges after authorities say he fired 11 shots through his pregnant ex-girlfriend’s bedroom window, killing her and their unborn son as she slept beside her two young children.

Devin Anthony, 26, has been arrested and charged in connection with the horrific shooting that took the life of his 23-year-old ex-girlfriend, who was just two weeks away from giving birth. The unborn baby boy also died in the attack, which investigators believe was motivated by anger over the name the victim chose for their child following their breakup.

According to police, Anthony allegedly approached the home and fired multiple rounds directly into the bedroom where the victim was sleeping with her two other young children. The children were unharmed physically but witnessed the traumatic event.

Anthony now faces serious charges, including malice murder, feticide, and aggravated assault. The case has sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting the devastating impact of domestic violence, especially when it involves expectant mothers and children.

The victim’s family and friends have mourned her loss, remembering her as a loving mother who was excitedly preparing for the arrival of her new baby. A baby shower had recently been held, as seen in photos showing her surrounded by celebratory decorations.

This tragedy serves as a grim reminder of the dangers faced by victims of domestic disputes and the urgent need for stronger protective measures and support systems for those leaving abusive or contentious relationships.

The investigation remains ongoing as prosecutors build their case against Anthony, who is currently in custody.
