COLORADO — A mother faces second-degree murder charges after her 16-year-old daughter died from complications related to severe, long-term alcohol abuse.

Gretchen Leanne Ryan was charged following the death of her daughter, Grace Elizabeth Ryan, who was found dead at their home in March. Authorities reported discovering 173 empty alcohol bottles hidden in the teen’s bedroom.
