BREAKING: A 62-year-old Army veteran was fatally shot by a woman in an apparent argument over a Walmart parking lot in Florida. The unarmed veteran can be seen at times with his hands above his head as the woman pointed the gun at him.

The New York Post is reporting, “A New Jersey native who served in the Army was fatally shot by a woman during a dispute over a parking spot outside a Florida Walmart.

Bart Diguglielmo, 62, and the female shooter were embroiled in a “verbal altercation” over a parking space before the altercation turned deadly, officials said.”

The woman told police she acted in self-defense. A witness said “She was screaming and she was saying a lot of things,” during the argument. No charges have been filed at the time of this post as officials determine if it was self-defense.

The report adds that “Diguglielmo served as a combat nurse & combat medic,” that he was a decorated veteran of Operation Desert Storm, and that he was a retired nurse.

Shooting an unarmed person who hasn’t touched you seems like murder, but that’s just me. RIP, Bart Diguglielmo. Thank you for your service.
