A heroic wife’s quick thinking helped save her husband after a terrifying mid-air incident on a Ryanair flight. Serbian national Ljubiša Karović was nearly pulled out of a broken window when it shattered due to engine debris around 30 minutes into the flight from Thessaloniki, Greece.

His wife grabbed onto his legs in a desperate bid to hold him inside the cabin, later telling media, “If we die, we die together.” The couple’s emotional account has highlighted the frantic moments aboard the plane as passengers and crew worked to stabilize the situation.

The flight made an emergency landing, and no serious injuries were reported beyond the dramatic ordeal. Investigations into the cause of the window failure are ongoing.
