Lindsay Clancy’s Ex-Husband Pleads with Judge Not to Show Graphic Photos of Murdered Children

Plymouth, Massachusetts — Patrick Clancy, the former husband of Lindsay Clancy and father of their three children, has asked a judge to restrict public access to sensitive evidence in her upcoming triple-murder trial, including graphic photographs and his emotional 911 call.

Lindsay Clancy faces charges of murdering the couple’s three young children — Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, 8 months — by strangling them with exercise resistance bands in their Duxbury home in January 2023. She then allegedly jumped from a second-story window in an apparent suicide attempt. Her defense has centered on severe postpartum mental illness.

In a motion filed this week in Plymouth Superior Court, Patrick Clancy’s attorney requested that Judge William Sullivan limit access to photos of the children (taken before their deaths, at the crime scene, and during autopsies), their clothing, and the recording of the 911 call he made upon discovering their bodies. The request seeks to restrict these materials to attorneys, jurors, and court staff only, citing the “immeasurable” emotional harm that public dissemination would cause.

Patrick Clancy has since divorced Lindsay and remarried. He is expected to testify for the defense. Jury selection recently concluded, and the trial is set to proceed with opening statements. The judge is reviewing the motion.
