BREAKING UPDATE: The little Texas girl whose fight for life touched hearts across the country has passed away.
It’s heartbreaking.
Many of you have been praying for 2-year-old Annelise Camp since Memorial Day, when a pool accident left her on a ventilator and her family fighting for every possible chance to save her life.
Over the past two months, we’ve followed their incredible journey together.
We prayed as her parents fought through the courts for more time.
We celebrated when she was transferred to another hospital in Louisiana they believed could offer new hope.
We rejoiced over small victories as her family shared signs of progress and never stopped believing God could still perform a miracle.

Today, Annelise’s grandfather shared the update none of us wanted to read.
“This past Monday Annelise was extubated, taking out the tubes that kept her breathing these last ten weeks since her accidental drowning on Memorial Day.”
“When this procedure was done, she passed very quickly.”
She was just 2 years old.
Her grandfather thanked every person who has prayed for Annelise and asked for those prayers to continue, saying her parents, Johnston and Joy, along with her siblings, need them now more than ever.
He shared words from Psalm 31 that have carried their family through this unimaginable season.
“The days of our lives are in His hands.”
He also pointed to the hope found in Romans, reminding everyone that “nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Next Wednesday, family and friends will gather in Houston to celebrate Annelise’s life.
As heartbreaking as this ending is, one thing never changed throughout this journey.
Her parents never stopped loving her.
Never stopped fighting for her.
Never stopped believing they had to do everything they could for their little girl.
Please continue praying for Johnston, Joy, Ella Grace, and the entire Camp family as they face the days, weeks, and months ahead.
And if you’ve been following Annelise’s story with me since Memorial Day, would you leave her family a message today?
