Xave, Rise Up

Xave, Rise Up

A baseball field should have been a place of joyful memories for 12-year-old Xavier Taylor. Instead, one heartbreaking accident changed his life forever.

During warm-ups, Xavier was accidentally struck in the neck by a baseball. He collapsed and went into cardiac arrest before being airlifted to the hospital, where he has remained in a coma for more than two months.

His family is still waiting for the breakthrough they have prayed for every day. But despite the long silence, they have not given up hope.

Across New Jersey and far beyond, people continue to stand with Xavier. Bridges have been illuminated in blue. Bats have appeared on porches. His teammates continue to carry his No. 6 jersey onto the field, keeping his place among them.

Now, Xavier’s family is asking for something deeply personal: prayer and fasting.

They are praying for healing in Xavier’s body and brain, wisdom for his medical team, and strength for everyone who continues to stand beside his hospital bed.

Every prayer, every blue light, and every gesture of support reminds his family that they are not alone.

May Xavier feel the love surrounding him. May his body grow stronger. May his family find strength through every difficult day.

And may the hope they continue to hold in their hearts become the miracle they have been waiting for.

Xave, rise up.
