WATCH LIVE: DAY 20 OF THE LINDSAY CLANCY MURDER TRIAL

Day 20 of the Lindsay Clancy trial brought another dramatic chapter in a case that has captured national attention.

Jurors heard testimony from prosecution experts examining Lindsay Clancy’s mental state at the time her three children died.

The central question remained the same:

Was Lindsay experiencing a severe break from reality, as the defense argues?

Or did she understand what she was doing and remain criminally responsible, as prosecutors contend?

The courtroom has now heard weeks of testimony from psychiatrists, psychologists, family members, investigators and other witnesses.

Each side has presented a very different explanation for what happened inside the Clancy home in January 2023.

The defense has pointed to postpartum psychosis, bipolar disorder and what it describes as serious problems with Lindsay’s psychiatric treatment.

Prosecutors have focused on her behavior before and during the tragedy, arguing that it demonstrated awareness and deliberate decision-making.

As Day 20 unfolded, jurors were left to weigh competing expert opinions about one of the most difficult questions in the case.

What was happening inside Lindsay Clancy’s mind?

And was her mental illness severe enough to make her legally not responsible for her actions?

The testimony is disturbing, emotional and deeply complicated.

But ultimately, the jury must decide based on the evidence presented in court.

Three children lost their lives.

Now, after weeks of testimony, the case is moving toward its final and most consequential stage.
