Toledo woman reports son’s death the following day, charged with abuse of corpse
TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Toledo mother faces an abuse of a corpse charge after police say she discovered her son had died, but didn’t report it until the following day.
Michelle Feudi, 55, of Toledo, said she found her son dead in his bed around 2 p.m. on the Fourth of July.
According to court documents, she said he was cold to the touch, had no pulse and blood came from his mouth when she rolled him over.
She told police she then picked him up and carried the 23-year-old to the enclosed front porch on the 3800 block of Peru and stayed with him there for several hours.
Feudi finally called 911 around 5 a.m. on July 5.
She appeared in court on July 6 and was released on her own recognizance.
He next hearing is scheduled for July 16.
